Hi, I’m Valera (vuh-lair-uh)! You can also call me “V” or “Veezie”.

I’m a Graphic Designer with over 20 years of experience. I enjoy bringing clarity, creativity, and motion to complex ideas. A pretty cool guy once said “if you can’t explain it simply you don’t understand it well enough” (it was Albert Einstein, he was the cool guy). So I love finding fun ways of turning ideas or messages into engaging and memorable visuals.

I’ve worked across web, digital marketing, hands-on print production, and global events and trade shows, designing everything from single social media graphics to 20,000+ square‑foot experiences.

I love smart systems, smooth animation, strong typography, and design that actually works in the real world. This means I’m very passionate about ensuring my work is accessible and inclusive. I’m equally happy brainstorming big concepts or obsessing over the tiny details that make great design feel effortless.

When I’m not designing but still working I’m most likely obsessing over technical details, learning how to do things more efficiently, building templates out of my latest project in case I want to use that cool effect again later. If I’m not working I’m probably having full-on conversations with my cat, playing games with my kids, watching sci-fi, reading fantasy, tinkering with my home lab/media server (because I’m a bit of a tech nerd), going down some rabbit-hole for the lore of whatever show I’m currently obsessed with, meal planning for my family, listening to music way too loudly, collecting vinyl records, playing video games, collecting Eeveelution plushies (Pokemon), or trying to befriend the hummingbirds in my backyard.
